The meters barely moved unless you were listening pretty loudly at around 4 watts of power (Infinity RS-II speakers) I like my old Sherwood AM-7040's approach to meters .. a solid LED illuminates to an amber color when the channel is driven beyond 1 watt of power and if it gets overdriven the LED will change to red
